Conscious Issue 03 NYC Release Party
August 12, 2015 – The Conscious Team and New York’s startup and social good community came together to celebrate the release of Conscious Issue 03. Our most recent issue encourages others to “Pursue your legacy in the service of others.”
The social good / social event was held at the Warburg Realty Flagship location in New York City, hosted by 100 Cameras, The Style Line, Good vs. Evil, Elle Communications, and Modavanti, and sponsored by ONE Hope Wine and Rehabulous.
All of these organizations embody conscious culture with their dedication to creating an impact with their respective industries. A special thank you to Warburg for giving Conscious the gift of celebrating a milestone in their space!
While we first released Issue 03 in Detroit and were welcomed by the community there, we were equally excited to share this special evening with our home community. We’re inspired by the incredibly enthusiastic network of builders, dreamers, and go-getters in New York City.
The release party commenced at 6:30 pm with mixing and mingling, followed by a Conscious Team announcement with highlights of the Conscious mission “to impact media by changing the conversation,” our 2015 goals, and an invitation to the community to get involved by:
1. Joining our Advisory Board
2. Connecting Conscious to sponsors and distribution partners
3. Hosting local events
4. Subscribing
5. Becoming an ambassador by sharing the word about Conscious online and offline!
Conscious Magazine’s Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief, Rachael Baxter, expressed how “the community has grown Conscious Magazine in ways we never imagined, but we’re just scratching the surface. We’re doing this with fervor and determination to really impact media by changing the conversation, so we still need to strive for less sensationalistic news and more solutions journalism. However, we need your help. The conscious culture movement is growing, so we hope you will consider getting involved.”
To close the evening, we cheered to making a pact of accomplishing great things in New York City, together. New York is a place where global conversations and change happens, and we want to be at the forefront alongside the city’s dedicated change-makers.
We were so ecstatic to share the room with New York’s startup and social good community!
