About Monika Bhika

Writing has always been my dream. Growing up without a TV in a communistic Czechoslovakia, I became an avid reader from a young age. I fell in love with books and stories and over time developed a vivid imagination, dreaming of one day becoming an author myself. My life has been an incredible adventure with extreme ups and downs; an adventure that has taken me from growing up in a totalitarian regime in Prague to living on my own at 16 years old in New York’s most notorious neighbourhood (Bedford-Stuyvesant) to battling and ultimately surviving full-blown PTSD in Europe’s top fashion city, London. In recent years, becoming a mom to two incredible little girls, the experience has made me a better person who cares so much about making this world a better place for our children, other people and ultimately all living beings. I love traveling, volunteering for charities and spending time with our girls, my husband and our two rescued cats.
