Ashly followed her childhood dreams to become a fashion designer earning a BFA in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design. She focused her creative talents on lingerie and sleepwear and has been living and working in NYC for the last eight years. She currently designs private label lingerie for Victoria's Secret and Dilliards. Always actively involved in after school programs and student body activities she wanted to find a way to have fun and give back to the community after college. She has been involved in several philanthropic ventures for the last four years, lending her talents and connections in the design world to create stellar fundraising events for different charities.
Her most dynamic volunteer role was producing and directing runway shows for the non-profit The MacDella Cooper Foundation. Now acting as Event Creative Director for the non-profit Girls Who Rock she oversees the artistic direction of their annual benefit rock concert sponsoring girls’ education worldwide. She also lends her gift for hosting, party planning and coordinating events to her work with other charitable organizations Seeds of Peace, GlamourGals and She's The First.
Ashly is also the PR/Events/Creative Liaison for Pearl Naidoo Jewelry, a company dedicated to donating a portion of every sale to charity that works closely with She’s The First. In her free time she plays the role of social butterfly organizing outings and annual parties for her weekly newsletter The A-List, which has 125 subscribers, that covers fun and mostly free activities in New York City.
