Tenlie Mourning is currently studying architecture at Columbia University. Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, she is a recent graduate from Denver School of the Arts (DSA) Creative Writing Department. In the six years she spent there, she studied a variety of genres; however, she emphasized poetry, flash fiction and screenwriting. During her time at DSA, Tenlie had an opportunity to participate in a variety of performances, projects and installations. In spring of 2014, however, Tenlie published an original chapbook titled Hanging on a Wire. She was also honored with the opportunity to complete a 144 sq. foot permanent, photography installation titled identities in the main staircase of DSA.
