Austin, Texas is a city deeply rooted in culture, music, and history. Nicknamed the “Live Music Capital of the World” has made Austin one of the most exciting cities to explore. Whether strolling through the unique downtown arts district or cheering on the notorious Texas Longhorns, Austin has something for everyone.

Filled with a comprehensive culture, Austin is the perfect city to express creativity.  The streets are lined with inspiration and imagination. Recently, Conscious Magazine has made its way to the shelves of Barnes & Noble  in cities such as Austin and we could not be more excited. In celebrating the nationwide release of Conscious Magazine, Team C. would like to applaud other like-minded businesses that inspire the #changetheconversation movement.

Whether you are an Austin native or planning a weekend getaway, make sure to stop by our favorite conscious driven businesses.

Let’s face it…mornings are just not complete without a great cup of coffee. Located within the historic district is Austin’s very own TOMS Roasting Co. Much more than a retail space, the newest initiative from TOMS is to provide clean water for people in need. With every bag of coffee purchased, TOMS will give one week of clean water to a person in need. Coffee that gives back…how cool is that?

The company also gives up to 20 hours per month (per employee) of pro-bono and/or in-kind donations to nonprofits throughout the Austin community.

Finding a local non- profit to become engaged in can be challenging, but The Miracle Foundation makes it easy to get involved. Empowering children in rural India to discover their dreams is the mission behind the organization. Rooted in the heart of Austin for the last fifteen years, The Miracle Foundation ensures that orphans are able to meet their full potential. To date, the organization has provided children’s homes with funding, training, and support to improve the standard of care for the children.

The Miracle Foundation is always looking for volunteers and is a great way for community members to join forces and help an amazing cause. For people outside of the Austin area, there are still opportunities to get involved through fundraising and donation efforts.

Enjoy Austin and while you’re there, pick up a copy of Conscious Magazine at Barnes & Noble!
